Synthomer announces the acquisition of Quality Polymer Sdn Bhd

Monday 17th October 2011

Synthomer's parent Yule Catto & Co plc has announced the acquisition of Quality Polymer Sdn Bhd, the polymerisation business of Nippon Paints
Malaysia, based in Pasir Gudang,

Derick Whyte, CEO Synthomer, commented : " The acquisition of Quality Polymer will strengthen and increase our manufacturing capability and
capacity in Asia, a core part of our strategy for growth in the region. The Quality Polymer plant, which is located close to one of our existing
facilities in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, will complement our existing operations in Malaysia and Vietnam, which are running close to capacity,
allowing Synthomer to meet the increased demand from adhesives, coatings and building products customers for its range of acrylic and vinyl polymer dispersions "
