LANXESS increases prices for technical rubber grades
April 1st, 2011
Leverkusen - Specialty chemicals company LANXESS is increasing its prices for its Perbunan and Krynac synthetic rubber ranges by up to EUR 250 per metric ton with effect from April 1, 2011. The reason for this price adjustment is the rise in raw material, transport and energy costs.
LANXESS is one of the leading suppliers of specialty elastomers for the rubber processing industry. The rubbers supplied by the Technical Rubber Products business unit provide solutions for an extraordinarily broad range of applications. The nitrile rubbers (NBR) Perbunan and Krynac, for example, have much higher oil resistance than conventional rubber grades. They are therefore ideal for use in seals, conveyor belts and hoses.
The Technical Rubber Products business unit is part of LANXESS’ Performance Polymers segment, which recorded sales of EUR 3,782 million in fiscal 2010.
LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with sales of EUR 7.1 billion in 2010 and currently around 14,850 employees in 24 countries. The company is represented at 45 production sites worldwide. The core business of LANXESS is the development, manufacturing and marketing of plastics, rubber, intermediates and specialty chemicals.
