LANXESS increases chloroprene rubber prices

Leverkusen, Germany - The Technical Rubber Products business unit of specialty chemicals group LANXESS will increase its prices for chloroprene rubber effective in the fourth quarter of 2010. Dependent on regions, the price adjustment per metric ton comprises up to EUR 525/$700 for CR. The reason for this is the continued high level of feedstock and energy prices. CR, which LANXESS offers under the name Baypren, is appropriate to produce cable sheathings, hoses, belts and air springs.
